After the success of the Comme Des Garçons line, the next genius that will design for H&M; will be Mathew Williamson.
When? This new collection will be available on the 23rd of April, 2009. Initially it will only feature women’s designs, followed by men’s clothes throughout May.
What to expect? Colourful patterns, very London, and very Mathew Williamson, whose boho chic designs have been worn by Mischa Barton, Kate Moss and Sienna Miller.
The verdict? We can’t wait.

New trends are popping up and one slowly gaining strength is leather leggings. Rihanna (pictured above) wears them repeatedly, but Victoria Beckham was probably the first fashion icon to sport them. Heidi Klum and Mary Kate Olsen have also picked up the trend…will you?

Christmas is near, and it cannot be avoided. Streets are decorated, lights are lit. To top it all, it is snowing outside and as I am going through a bizarre Wham phase at the time, I simply cannot wait to play Last Christmas (I still haven’ t added it to my ipod, but I am only restraining myself) How to get your loved ones to make you the most fashionable person this Christmas? I’m sharing my cravings, feel free to stare:

Mango has a new store in New York, at 561 Broadway in Soho. The brand had been after a space in Manhattan for years and has finally made it to the buzzing area.
What to expect? Mango has been big in Spain and Europe for years. It’s boutique-style stores and a unique approach to high-street fashion results in a slightly more expensive product, with a richer range of clothing than one of its main competitors, H&M.;
Key garments? Coats and jackets are fitted and very feminine, in greys and passionate reds.It’s denim range offers a wide variety of skinny fits. Penelope Cruz’s collection has a purple dress ($99) we adore. Sexyness to the max with suits and tailored trousers teamed with overtly femenine blouses. We could go on, and on, and on.
A last word? We do hope Mango will make an effort in the sizing area, as the smallest and biggest girls always have trouble finding the perfect fit. Everyone is NOT average nowadays, and Mango sometimes fails in that respect.

In our dreams right now is this beautiful dress by Karen Millen. I came across this gorgeousness with ruffles walking by the store in Regent Street, during a recent visit to London…and I still ask myself, why oh why did I walk away without it?

As we all know, hot-red lips have made one of the biggest comebacks of the season. This look was creeping on us, as celebrities posed with flawless skin and the reddest of pouts. Now red lips are allowing heavier eye make-up, but not too much!
The general rule, less is more, still applies, but do apply some black eyeliner to pump up the sexy volume.
As a sample, Madonna’s latest look (rumoured to be featured in Vuitton‘s next publicity campaing). Flawless.

Who is she? Daisy Lowe is one of the UK’s hottest young models. Daughter of Pearl Lowe and Gavin Rossdale, she is the latest inspiration here at Fashion Limbo.
The look? Mostly rock chick, she isn’t scared to experiment with leopard prints and leather (luckily, not together!). We believe she is at her best when wearing classic girlie looks (pictured above) and empire-cut dresses, but we loved her music festival outfits, very girl next door, very rock chick.

If a few days before we mentioned how Michelle Obama is exciting fashionistas (she will be doing a cover for Vogue in the new year, and the buzz on this has only started), now we just can’t deny that her husband, President Elect Obama, and mostly, his face, has become “fashion” in itself. It all went global with Katy Perry’s dress (pictured above) for the recent European MTV Awards in Liverpool (UK), but then again, this is nothing new.
Stalls in Camden Town (London) are selling t-shirts with his face for 15 pounds, and Madonna’s official merchandiser vendor Fanfire has been selling an Obama inspired top with a Madonna theme, since before the election.
We simply never thought a US President’s face could be this fashionable! Are you surprised, and will you wear Obama’s face too?

H&M; has gone “designer” on us again, this time with Rei Kawakubo’s Comme des Garçons.
What to expect? Black cropped trousers, tuxedo jackets, almost everything in the darkest of colours. Though it may look boring for those of you prefering colour, this is the key Comme look: black jackets, black dresses, including an extremely sexy black trench-coat for the guys. Also typical of this label, the looks created for H&M; are neither obviously for men or women, remaining quite uniform-like.
There are also some nods to current trends with polka dots shirts, blouses, shorts, a handbag and even a pair of trainers.
As with other H&M; designer launches, you will have some who will rush to empty the store’s shelves, and others who will wait for the next designer to bring something more to their liking. We love the elegance and sharpness of the look, something we don’t normally find at H&M.; Comme des Garçons is a unique label, with a stunning and dramatic look, and fans of Kawakubo’s designs will not be disappointed.
Another excuse to assault every possible vintage shop in town! Chandelier earrings have been present in the high-street for a good while, but now they are the hippest thing to dress every earlobe.
How to work the look? If you are growing out a bob, the bigger examples can add a lot of glamour to a hair-style you may be bored of.
Where to find them? The ones pictured above can be found at Miss Selfridge (15 pounds – €18), but vintage shops would be a gold mine for this type of accesory. Designer examples can be found in Prada.
