NYC Loves Eco Fashion – cmarchuska

We have recently been directed to cmarchuska a New York-based fashion line that works to be eco-friendly and promote sustainable clothing, which is an idea Fashion Limbo adores.

Clothing at cmarchuska is fresh, trendy and sexy. Their tees are light and full of movement, whilst their dresses are so gorgeous we simply cannot wait to get our hands on one of them.

Colours featured are very now, with corals, blacks, whites…all very light and we are loving the Sylvia dress pictured above.

Festival Chic – Some Ideas

If you are heading to a festival this year, you may want to emulate some of the recent styles sported by celebrities like Sienna, Kate or our latest obsession, Alexa Chung.

• Skirts replace jeans – It is all about showing off your legs, even if the festival site is so muddy you end up with wet soil on your pins. Wear frilly skirts in an all-black number a la Sienna Miller(pictured above, left). Add a chunky belt and an old top and you are ready to go.
• Sun-glasses – Absolutely essential. You may go for any of the current trends, with colourful frames, or go vintage: bring out old ray-bans, aviators, or the biggest lenses you can find. Anything goes!
• Shoes are boots – Wellies, wellies, wellies, and for that Jimmy Choo is hot right now with their Hunter wellington, currently only available after joining a long waiting list.
• Make-up – practically null, unless you wear a rock-chick red lipstick, glamorous and a subtle statement to pair with your sunglasses.

The End Of An Era

Yesterday two icons passed away.

Farrah Fawcett, TV screen icon, fashion icon, feminist icon. She passed away at the age of 62.

Michael Jackson, one of Fashion Limbo’s childhood icons. The first artist to make me cry to one of his songs. He died at the age of 50.

Shoe of the Week – Office

From one of our favourite shoe retailers in the UK, Office, we present our pick of the week. We are stupidly and carelessly lusting after this pair of gladiator sandal boots. Gorgeous with grey, black and flowery summer dresses, great with shorts…we want them!

Summer is Here

Summer officially begins tonight, and at Fashion Limbo we will be welcoming the sunny season in style, following these basic rules:

We will apply sunscreen protection of at least SPF30 on our face

To avoid the drastic end-of-summer haircut, we will cover our locks in conditioner, leaving it in and heading to the beach = luxurious beauty treatment

We will be carrying a deep red lipstick in our handbag for instant sexiness

If on an open beach we will be fashionably safe with a big hat

We will be teaming our most dressy numbers with a pair of gladiator sandals

We will be glamming up our swimwear with long necklaces and ethnic bracelets

Look of the Week – Sophie Ellis-Bextor

Our favourite look this week has to be by Sophie Ellis-Bextor at the Bruno premiere in London. Her dress is a colourful and golden fashion statement and we love how her make-up is natural and girlie.
